Created in collaboration with Gabriela Giovanardi, the Pochette Montaigne is a celebration of shared values. When I first met Gabriela, I was moved by her commitment to transparency—a principle that has defined Michino since its inception. Together, we sought to create a piece that brings a message about making more intentional, informed choices.
The design emerged from a true creative alchemy. Rather than a solo effort, it was a dialogue: I sketched and Gabriela refined, until we perfected a silhouette that harmonizes our two worlds. The Pochette Montaigne mirrors her own essence—feminine yet bold, and as uplifting as its luxurious craftsmanship.
True to the founding principles of Michino, each piece is crafted from exquisite French tannery - Tanneries du Puy calfskin and realized in a small French atelier. We take immense pride in this "locally sourced, locally made" philosophy, knowing personally every artisan who stitched and perfected these bags.
